Legend says that the land was carved by dieing demons who wanted to form a monument of their power in the human void. One, a stronger beast, dragged iron and rock from the other realms and smashed them down together forming the land and its mountains. Another, a flaming dragon, seared the land breaking down and evening the sharp rocks creating sand and soils. The third, a large whale creature, brought water from many voids to surround and pierce the landmass as the sea and rivers dissolving the rock and sand to form beaches and bring salt to the sea. The forth, a maiden of plants, spread out along the land seeds of her own design that evolved and sproated into every plant imaginable. The fifth, a large condor, took water from the sea in its beak and spread it throughout its skies over the land forming clouds above it and with a beat of its wings sent the first gales over the new continent. Curious humans came upon boats to the new landmass in the darkness guided only by torch light just as the five demons expired. Their essenses morphed and launched into the sky as the energy that lit up the world sending more men to the land - the sun. The land was a utopia for men, the old proverbs say, but soon man discovered iron, bronze and coal and started to build civilizations by using the elements of the earth to back their stone walls. Soon man would fight over gold and diamonds before the utopia collapsed sending warlords and their followers to divide up the land and fight over it. Death was the punishement from the sun, the eye of the demons from the afterlife, sicked by the actions of men sent pestilence and disease to bring death to them until all of the ancient people died.
That was an old legend and now empires and civilizations are sitting on the verge of a new war. Seeing the sun as the beakon of life and liberty, many lords and kings fight for the people and their own ambitions. Law, taxes, armies and blood are on the daily agenda for the men in royal armor. As the nations and providences are divided, the land is on the verge of a new great war. The "Clash of the Thousand" will commence soon enough although it may have already begun.
